The
Pre-Transplant Department of Dallas Nephrology Associates is contracted by
Baylor University Medical Center and Methodist Medical Center to
coordinate kidney and kidney/pancreas transplant evaluations.
The
department’s coordinators review each patient’s medical records and
schedule the appropriate tests according to the American Society of
Transplantation guidelines.
Once
these tests have been completed, the coordinators prepare and present the
test findings to the Transplant Selection of the appropriate hospital.
The team
follows and continues to monitor each patient until the time of
transplantation.

We coordinate donor education and evaluation.
We
facilitate the scheduling of living donor surgeries.
We
are here to guide and aid potential kidney recipients and potential donor
candidates to their goal of successful transplantation.
